Bernward Geier studied cultural history at the UNAM in Mexico City, followed by a degree in agriculture at the University of Kassel/Witzenhausen. He served as the director of the International Federation of Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) for 18 years and has authored numerous books on organic agriculture.
